Big Dog Bones and Chihuahua the Baby

Please tell, have you ever heard of big dog bones? I guess, you think it is kind of dog food or a toy for entertaining our teeth. That's not right. Dogs don't eat it, and don't play with it. To be exact, they eat it, but wash it down with water. Because these things are drugs. Now you understand nothing. Don't worry! We will tell you the story of one Chihuahua. BDB played a significant role in his life. I met Baby (that's how he called himself) in a night club for Wolfhounds. He was in their element, really. I asked him, what is he doing in the club for big-sized canines? Then, he told me the story about big dog bones. Here it is.

Hey. I am Chihuahua the Baby. For friends and relatives I have always been just a Baby. But all these dogs did not know, that calling me like this they injured my soul to the core. In fact, I am a small sized dog, but in my dreams I have always seen myself as a...Wolfhound.
I understood, that this is just a dream that will never come true. For becoming a Wolfhound, I needed to make big sacrifices. For example, to turn to dog plastic surgerist. You may say, that is animal wildness? But I was ready for almost everything. You can not even imagine, how I suffered from my dog complex! My Chihuahua friends wondered, where my strange thoughts came from. What is better, than being born a Chihuahua? But heart is lawless...

My best friend is a Norwich Terrier. When he saw me suffering, he adviced me to take a course of big dog bones. My terrier friend said, that one famous vet made an amazing discovery in dog psychology: it is true, that big dog bones raise the self-esteem of small dogs. I hardly believed that. I was not that such a faithful Chihuahua, and a thought, that some dog bone, even the biggest, may help me to solve my problem, made me laugh.
But the Norwich Terrier insisted, that I surely must visit a psychologist. I got used to believe my friends, so reluctantly, I made an appointment to Jack Russell the Veterinarian on a Monday.
In a hall of clinic were many patients. I decided to ask a very small Russkiy Toy Terrier, if he have had taken a course of big dog bones. Russkiy Toy looked at me with his eyes wide open. He had a tic, so his eyes were always like that.
- Russell the vet treats me with a special hypnose for small dogs. - he squeaked, frightened, - I have never heard of big dog bones. it sounds scary. I am not sure, if it is safe! - said russkiy toy, and his eyes opened wider and wider.
I started to worry and thought, if it is really safe to treat with big dog bones. And what if they make a huge influence on mind of a small dog? I might become addicted to it. A cat friend of mine suffered that way. He started to drink valeriane, on the advice of some vet and then... So, he has been treated from a valeriane addiction.
But I decided to take a risk. Maybe, big dog bones are the one decision to bring me cure. And at the time I was thinking about it, Russell the Veterinarian invited me to his cabinet. Toy Terrier wished me good luck.

It was cosy in the doctor's cabinet. Jack Russell sat in big armchair and looked at me with his kind and friendly eyes.
- Mister Chihuahua, please tell me the reason you decided to visit me. Do you need help?
I told him, that I feel myself really small. That I have always been dreaming to become a Wolfhound. He told me, he have never seen such a dog pathology. There were some cases on his memory, when a Borzoi wanted to become a Whippet, and a plump Lady Pug dreamed to become a slender Italian Greyhound. For the Borzoi Jack Russell wrote prescriptions to take calm pills, so her problems were solved. But with Lady Pug he had to work more. She didn't understand that each dog breed is beautiful in the way it is. Certainly, Lady Pug read all those glossy magazines and decided to lose weight until becoming an Italian Greyhound.
- And can you imagine, dear Chihuahua, that after taking two courses of big dog bones Lady Pug stopped exhausting herself with diets, and became an absolutely normal, self confident Pug. I would recommend you to take a course of dog bones. What is more, your kind friend Norwich Terrier told me about your problems. I thought about it, and decided, that a course of big dog bones is what really will help you!
After telling this, Jack Russell took a small box from his pocket. On the box was written:
big dog bones. take only on dog prescription.
- Take one pill before sleep and after two weeks come to me.
I thanked Jack Russell. But I hardly believed that a small box with pills can rid me of a desire to become a giant Wolfhound.

really big dog bones?

At home I opened the box. inside there were little pills in a shape of dog bones. A paradox, but in fact the big dog bones were really small.
In the evening, I did everything what Jack Russell told me to do. Took one pill and fell asleep.
Next morning I woke up in a really good mood. I had breakfast then. At my breakfast I ate three bowles of dog food, and then made a course of excersises for small dogs. I was not tired at all. Certainly, these big dog bones influenced in the best way on me. Every day I have been taking one pill. After two weeks the pills were over.
I wanted to maintain the course. Since not long ago I felt myself big and strong. I ate much, went in for sports and even subscribed to Dog Track and Field magazine. And when my friends called me Baby - I was not offended. I even felt kind of superiority. My dog friends did not guess, what changes happened in my life. I felt myself like a real wolfhound, thanks to big dog bones.
After two dog weeks I told Jack Russell, that the course of big dog bones really helped me. He asked me in details about my feelings and was satisfied with the results. I asked, if I should repeat the course. but Jack Russell said, that I need it no more. On the countrary, taking too much of big bones can harm me. I said goodbye to Jack, happily left the cabinet and went to enjoy my new dog life...

This was the story of Chihuahua the Baby, that he told us personally. But in this story exists one more important character. It is a friend of Chihuahua - Norwich Terrier. This dog helped the Baby in his difficult situation. After Chihuahua left Jack Russell, Norwich Terrier entered the vet cabinet. Here is what the dogs were talking about:
- Dear doctor. Thanks, you helped my friend. He is happy now. Big dog bones are really amazing pills. I was afraid, that these pills might have harmed the health of my best friend, but now I see, that everything is okay.
- I am glad, dear Norwich, that everything ended up well. But I will tell you a little secret. I would never give my patients meds of a strong effect, that might harm  the dog's mind. That is not in my  principes. As a psychologist, I firstly have to impress a patient with confidence, that he or she is the best dog in the world. And those big dog bones have nothing to do with it. These are simple dog vitamins. My patient, Lady Pug, who suffered from inferiotity complex about her figure, got similar vitamins from me. They are called not a big dog bones, but slender dog bones. And anyway, the main role in this course plays my experience as a psychologist. I try to help each dog, and I use inconvenient methods for it. Your friend Chihuahua is a really sensitive dog, prone to autosuggestion. And here the method of big dog bones really suits. If you want, dear Norwich, I can give you a box...

Such a dialogue took place between two dogs. Nobody observed til the end, how big dog bones helped Chihuahua the Baby. It is not necessary, actually. Opinions of vets often do not collide. But what is known for sure: Jack Russell successfully helps many dogs, who have psychological problems. And a method of coloured, and also small, slender, funny and just big dog bones is still popular among dogs.
