Labrador Gift. Part I

Hello, dear readers of the Gazette. Today we post a story about one labrador gift.
Our little kids often ask us to buy a puppy toy for them. There are a great variety of stuff, that some dog parents find useless, and other ones think, that if gifts make their puppy happy, the kids can have them all. But who ever thought, that a simple toy can be not only a gift to buy, but also a challenge for your puppy? A dangerous challenge.
Dog journalists of our Gazette made research, and found out, that such a situation took place in one labradors family of our kingdom. We wanted to meet the grown-up dog, who went through this when he was a little puppy. Happily, we found a yellow labrador retriever and he told us his story.

I want to tell you about what happened in my life, when I was a little puppy. I've grown up in a very kind dog family. My parents, labrador retrievers, have raised me, surrounded by love and tenderness. They never wanted me to let know about the troubles of cruel dog life. It may be, that the love of labrador retrievers is too strong. But many time passed by, and I understood, that real dog love is never too much. So, it was a digression. In my tale, I will tell you not just about that. Everything started with a dog toy store.

Buy a labrador gift!

In our retriever district a toy store for puppies opened. I've been always dreaming about getting there with my parents and find many labrador retriever gifts to buy. Puppies like me are always spoilt, but my mum, Lady Labrador Retriever, did not want to go there with me. She heard by some dog friends, that the owner of this shop is very strange. Rumours said, he even was not a real dog. All dogs, who have seen him, said, that it was something evil in the eyes of this animal creature.
- Why did the idea to open a toy store for puppies came to mind to such a strange dog?! Who would ever buy a puppy gift there? - was labrador mummy wondering.
Easily to guess, dog business in the store was unsuccessful. But the owner did not hurry up to close it and every time, passing by, I stared at the window of this store. And once, near the place, mummy met her friend, a wire-haired dachshund, and while dogs were barking gossip, I could closely look, what was behind the glass of the shop window.
And there was something to look at! Multicoloured dog bones for puppies; bowles with portraits of dogs from favorite cartoons, such as Pug and the Frog, Labrador in the Wonderland, Sleeping Dog and others; crocodiles, monkeys, parrots and other plush toys by the Puppy Jungle brand; cards and calendars with idols of dog teenagers, and also dog games and books. All dogs would buy a puppy gift there! My eyes ran while looking at this beauty.
Later on, thoughts about how to get into the shop were in my head. And finally, I succeed...
