Dogs from the Mountains. Mastiff History

My name is Dogue de Bordeaux. I want to tell you the mastiff history. Once upon a time in Animal Century Kingdom happened an occasion, that is remembered by many residents of a one dog county. Everyone, who saw big and small mastiffs, coming down the mountains, say that it was an amazing scene, that could be compared only to the show of Albino Dogs, or coming of Alfredo the Giant Spitz to the Kingdom.
But all things come in order...

It was an ordinary night. All dogs switched the lights off, and peacefully slept in their cosy beds.
- I woke up from dogs barking. - a witness of that happenings Kuvasz writes in his diary, which later became a part of the Great Mastiff Book. - When I went outside, there were many dogs already. They were looking at the mountain. It was one of the highest mountains in the Kingdom. Even famous alpinists among dogs, and also cat climbers and goats, specially came there to climb, and did not succeed to reach the top. That is why everyone was endlessly suprised, when saw dogs coming down...many dogs coming. Canines of the unknown breed appeared before the eyes of Kingdom's residents. Some of them, such as Pharaoh Hund and Canaan Dog, roared untrustfully. Who are these dogs from the mountains - friends or enemies?

Many years passed by. All facts about mastiffs admit today, that dogs, came to the Kingdom at that night were not angry or aggressive. Dogs were called mastiffs. They said, that their ancestors are huge molossers. Mastiffs lived in mountains for a long time. But one day their leader saw an unusual dream. In that dream the mastiff portrait of his grandfather became alive, and said:
- Soon thousands of dogs will come down the mountain...
Next morning, the leader called a dog meeting, and declared:
- Mountain dogs! The time of changes is now! I always knew, that one day we may have to leave our cosy home, and live among other dogs...

So they all, big and small, came down to meet the new life...After this story even the most untrustful dog residents changed their mind. Mastiffs were a very friendly and wise dogs, and the Animal Century Kingdom happily welcomed them.
