Italian Greyhound
the Lady Grace
Original painting 30x50 cm, mix technique
On this italian greyhound painting is portrayed a style icon of the Hound county - Lady Grace. Why do you think they call her so? Of course because she is so gentle and thin. She is a masterpiece herself, the real greyhound figurine!
Artists of Animal Century portrayed her many times, before this painting was exhibited in the gallery. On that dog artworks she appeared as a nymph, ballerina, fairy and even a godness of the Canine Olympus! You can see all those artworks in the Museum of Greyhound Art. You may ask, why this work is placed in the Royal Gallery? We will tell you: because she personally participated in creating it.
- I got tired of those iggy portraits of myself. They are beautful, but it is not me depicted there!
She admits, that on this italian greyhound painting she sees herself even better than in mirrors. So, we can be sure that she is called Lady Grace not in vain!
